I’m an abstractionist by nature.  Over the years I have experimented with a variety of painting mediums, each having its own distinct characteristics.  I’ve found that both Oil and Watercolor have allowed me to create the truest and purest replication of my thoughts.  

My parents’ influence is ever-present in my work.  Growing up, I was surrounded by a variety of artwork... paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, fabric, woodwork, multi-cultural art, and more.

Creating something from nothing has always excited and driven me to paint.  Design elements of architecture, combined with texture, depth, contrast, and weight can be recognized in many of my pieces.  I strive for elegance and simplicity in complex images — balancing and varying shapes, and contrasting unlikely colors.
